Bald Eagle grabs a gull


 

 

While photographing gulls at Quidi Vidi Lake, the flock suddenly took flight:

 

 

 

 

This flight happened regularly every day.  It was a sure sign a Bald Eagle was somewhere nearby, and sure enough, I looked up and saw an eagle soaring overhead.  Within the previous hour, a sick gull attracted the attention of American Crows first, and then Common Ravens, which succeeded at killing it.  This gull became the target of the eagle:
