Ross's Gull at Barrow, Alaska

We're always working on finding new birding opportunities, often with a touch of adventure. Zugunruhe Birding Tours is the first company in over 10 years to offer tours to Attu for spring migration and the first to offer a tour to see the spectacular migration of Ross's Gulls at Barrow, Alaska.  We also literally wrote the book (OK, just a chapter!) about birding Adak in the central Aleutians.

News:

Our spring Attu trip is filling up. We need only a few more to confirm the trip as a go. Click here for more info.

We hope to have pelagic trips out of Adak June 9-12 and June 13-16 targetting Whiskered Auklet, Short-tailed Albatross, Mottled Petrel, and much more for $2450/person. Email us for more information.

Attu
May 26-June 9, 2013

We are the first -- and still the only -- company since 2000 to offer a spring tour to Attu, the westernmost Aleutian island and the best place to see Asian vagrants in North America.

Barrow
Oct 4-8, 2013

Join us and the American Birding Association as we look for some of the magical birds of the Arctic. Our main target is Ross's Gull, but we also look for Ivory Gull, Snowy Owl, Spectacled Eider, and more. In 2012, we saw five polar bears.

Other North American tours
We have tours to Washington state, Newfoundland, and will be adding more soon.  Please check our TOURS page for the full schedule.
